After few days it's not working

I purchased this item but it was defective and wanted to return it. One person came but refused to take it back saying it was used. I wonder how would I know if it is defective or not if I dont use it. I called back the customer care and they took it back promising a refund. I got an email stating that the refund process has been srarted and then another one stating 'refund was paid back to my credit card. I ordered another one. That reached in time and is working fine. HOWEVER, i'M YET TO RECEIVE TE REFUND as is evident from the statement of the card.

Ye garam paani wala machine bahoot he jiyada pasand aaya. Bahoot jaldi he paani garam ho jata hai. Aur asani se istemal bhi kar shakte hai. Dil to khush ho gaya.
