Don't show your kids what it's supposed to do. My daughter manages to make stuff fall from this too. She will hold and turn it upside down. She considers it to be an achievement to make something fall from a bowl that is supposed to prevent things from falling. Build quality is good. Not very big. Can hold very small amount of snack for time-pass. When the kid carries it from room-to-room, it prevents from creating a messy trail.
